TRGears

TRGears system by PEI VM detects defects generated by the gear cutting process, before the gears are assembled into the finished product (gearbox, pump).

TRGears synchronously processes the signals from two high resolution encoders mounted on input and output shafts (of the tester or of the gearbox), calculating the instantaneous angular error of output shaft known as Transmission Error (TE). Malfunctions in teething processes like face milling or face hobbing result in the amplification of TE amplitudes in specific frequencies.

TRGears can be installed even on old testers / lappers, bringing them up to the measurement performances ensured by new-generation testers. This integration, normally fast and cheap, permits to improve and make objective the end-of-line check.
